PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new 9, 10-diphenylanthracene derivative enabling low-voltage drive of a relevant device and necessary for providing a highly efficient device, to provide a hole transport material and a luminescent material each comprising the same, and to provide an organic electroluminescent device using the same.;SOLUTION: The 9,10-diphenylanthracene derivative is represented by general formula (1). The hole transport material and the luminescent material each comprising the same are also provided.
