PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an update technique of a driver program, which more favorably meets needs of a manager. PSOLUTION: In a registry 100 of a PC10, connection destination information 101 for acquiring a driver program designated by the manager is registered previously. A printer driver unit 120 of the PC10, upon receiving from a user an instruction for performing automatic update of a printer driver program (printer driver unit 120), refers to the connection destination information 101 of the registry 100, and makes access to a connection destination indicated by the connection destination information 101 to obtain the printer driver program.
