HOST COMPUTER, FAX DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT METHOD, PROGRAM, RECORDING MEDIUM, AND FAX DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a host computer defining the relation between an original fax document and a fax document obtained by processing the original document and effectively managing the fax document, and also to provide a fax document management method, a program, a recording medium, and a fax document management system. PSOLUTION: A host computer has: a document management portion 13 managing a received fax document and a transmitted fax document; a document management table 14 identifying the received and transmitted fax documents under management; a user interface 12 displaying the received and transmitted fax documents under management as a document list and accepting a selection input from a user; and a document editing processor 15 displaying the contents of the received and transmitted fax documents and editing them. The host computer associates an edited fax document with an original fax document and managing them, and allows an operation means to display the edited fax document and the original fax document when a display request of the document list or an update request of the document list from the user are accepted.
