PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently suppress heat generation according to operation modes and to achieve protection of an IC as the junction temperature of a magnetic disk is increased.;SOLUTION: The disk device includes an overheating state detection unit 51 which is provided at a predetermined location of the disk device and detects an overheating state wherein the temperature is equal to or higher than a predetermined value, an operation mode decision unit 52 which decides an operation mode of the disk device when the overheating state detection unit 51 detects the overheating state, and an overheating measure control unit 53 which performs a predetermined overheating state eliminating operation corresponding to the operation mode decided by the operation mode decision unit 52.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
