PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect minute change in electrostatic capacitance from which offset is removed for detection of approach of an object or the like, at high speed and with high resolution while adjusting to an optimum detection range. PSOLUTION: An electrostatic capacitance detection device includes a plurality of detection electrodes arranged on a support substrate, a CV conversion means constituted by a serial connection of a resistor and a capacitor to convert to a voltage waveform corresponding to electrostatic capacitance belonging to a detection electrode connected to each of the plurality of detection electrodes, and a general-purpose microcomputer in which an input/output port is connected to each of the detection electrodes, wherein a CPU of the microcomputer calculates the position of an approaching object from the electrostatic capacitance of each of the detection electrodes or a value corresponding to the change of the electrostatic capacitance.
