PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide vegetable-containing hard candies enabling eating vegetables further deliciously and effectively without damaging health feeling which vegetables have: and to provide a method for producing the vegetable-containing hard candies.;SOLUTION: The vegetable-containing hard candies comprise a vegetable processed product part which contains ≥40 wt.% dried vegetables and includes an oil and fat content of 1-15 wt.%, a water content of 5-15 wt.%, and an amount of a gelling agent added of 0.1-10 wt.%, and a hard candy part which has a moisture value of ≤5 wt.%. The ratio of the surface areas of the vegetable processed product part and the hard candy part is (1:20) to (5:1). The hard candies are produced by passing through a process of preparing a vegetable processed product by mixing oil and fat and a swollen gelling agent with dried vegetables, and a process of extruding the vegetable processed product to put into a linear state followed by combining with hard candies, or a process of putting the vegetable processed product and hard candies into a linear state followed by combining with each other.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
