PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving compression set resistance of low thermal conductivity silicone rubber for a thermal fixing roll having low thermal conductivity.;SOLUTION: In the method for reducing compression set of the low thermal conductivity silicone rubber for the thermal fixing roll constituted by forming a low thermal conductivity silicone rubber layer on a core bar, the low thermal conductivity silicone rubber is obtained by heating and curing silicone rubber composition which is composed by blending 0.1 to 100 pts.mass hollow fillers made of organic resin whose average particle diameter is 200 μm or less and which has wide particle size distribution such that the total of fillers having particle diameter 30% or more smaller than the average particle diameter and fillers having particle diameter 30% or more larger than the average particle diameter is 20 mass% or more in 100 pts.mass organopolysiloxane containing at least two silicon atom bonding alkenyl groups in one molecule and curing effective amount of a curing agent for curing the organopolysiloxane. Thus, silicone rubber having less compression set, and small variance of rubber hardness and compression set caused by molding or lot is obtained.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
