PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform discrimination of contents with high resolution at low cost by suppressing exchange of data for characteristic quantity extraction and identity discrimination of a content that is a retrieval query as much as possible.;SOLUTION: In the present invention, when accumulating contents (characteristic quantities) to a content characteristic quantity database, characteristic quantities are extracted and registered for each set resolution level.
