PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for coating a suture wrapped around a spool and/or a method for coating the spool of the suture.;SOLUTION: The system for coating the suture includes the spool including a core having the suture wrapped thereabout and a dip tank including a first coating composition. The dip tank is configured to submerge the spool therein, thereby coating the suture with the first composition to form a pre-coated suture.
