PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent harmful beast repelling material capable of being simply used, obtained at a reduced cost, without having a risk of occurrence of an environmental pollution problem caused by being scattered with a wind, and the like, scarcely causing an environmental pollution problem of soil contamination, or the like, without having an adverse effect on a plant, and the like, and scarcely causing pollution on the global environment, and to provide a method for repelling the harmful beast using the same.;SOLUTION: The harmful beast repelling material contains a granular repelling material which contains a harmful beast repelling component comprising capsaicin in voids of porous natural stone granules, wherein surfaces of the porous natural stone granules are covered with a biodegradable plastic film containing at least a polylactic acid.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
