PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mulch film-laying machine and a method for laying a mulch film which enable a mulch film to be efficiently laid without damaging farm products planted in a farm field:.;SOLUTION: The method for laying mulch film works as follows: a mulch film 3 is drawn out from a roll along with advance of a mulch film-laying machine 1 along a ridge 4 and is cut off by respective cutting units 17 of a cutting device 15 when a holding roller 11 is passed; and cut-off parts 24 extending along the travelling direction of the mulch film-laying machine 1, is formed on the mulch film 3 laid on the farm field. Accordingly, continuous flowerpot seedlings 29 planted in the ridge 4 are exposed from the cut-off parts 24 of the mulch film 3 laid by the mulch film-laying machine 1 and thereby the parts of the seedlings exposed on the soil are not crushed up by the mulch film 3 and are prevented from getting damaged.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
