PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a manufacturing cost of a merchandise selling device with a function for detecting a line-of-sight of a customer.;SOLUTION: When an end of purchase behavior is detected by a purchase behavior determining part 25, a frame specification part 26 selects an image frame to be used for line-of-sight detection among the image frames of the purchase behavior of the customer accumulated in an image data storage part 31 at predetermined intervals. As for the selected image frame, a line-of-sight determining part 22 analyzes a state of a face of the customer contained in the image frame, detects the line-of-sight of the customer, creates data on the detected line-of-sight , and stores it in a line-of-sight data storage part 32. The image to be used for generating the line-of-sight data is, therefore, deleted, and the line-of-sight data is generated after the end of the purchase behavior of the customer.
