STRUCTURE AND METHOD FOR REINFORCING BOX SECTION DIAGONAL MEMBER OF LOWER WAY STEEL TRUSS BRIDGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing structure for easily reinforcing a box section diagonal member of a through steel truss bridge to prevent corrosion from the inside of the box section diagonal member.;SOLUTION: A reinforcing plate 31 covering a corrosion part formed on the outer surface of the box section diagonal member 11 of the through steel truss bridge is fixed to the outer surface of the box section diagonal member 11 with high strength bolts 43 and nuts 44 in an upper portion and a lower portion rather than the corrosion part, and fixed to the outer surface of the box section diagonal member 11 with ordinary bolts 45 and nuts 46 in a portion between the upper portion and the lower portion. Urethane foam 51 is filled in the box section diagonal member 11 at the part mounted with the reinforcing plate 31, and the inner surface of the box section diagonal member 11 and the urethane foam 51 are brought into close contact to prevent corrosion inside the box section diagonal member 11.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
