PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a vehicle to travel smoothly up to a destination by notifying an operator of travel restriction information, when a travel restriction exists in front of an own vehicle position.;SOLUTION: This system has a present place detection part for detecting the own vehicle position, a basic information acquisition processing means for acquiring map data, a travel restriction section determination processing means for determining whether or not a travel restriction section wherein traveling toward a prescribed direction is restricted exists in front of the own vehicle position on reference to the map data, and a notification processing means for notifying the operator of travel restriction information in the travel restriction section when the travel restriction section exists. Since the operator is notified of the travel restriction information in the travel restriction section when the travel restriction section exists in front of the own vehicle position, the vehicle can travel smoothly up to the destination without making a long detour for reaching the destination, or without stress feeling of a driver.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
