PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorber provided with a spring guide capable of regulating longitudinal vibration of a suspension spring as well as sufficiently regulating lateral vibration.;SOLUTION: The shock absorber 10 provided with the suspension spring 13 between a damper cylinder 11 and a piston rod 12 sliding inside of the damper cylinder 11 is provided with a spring guide assembly 20 having a plurality of ribs 42 composed of elastic material such as rubber softer than a spring guide 30 on an outer circumference of the hard resin cylindrical spring guide 30. The spring guide assembly 20 is provided on the outer circumference of the damper cylinder 11 or the piston rod 12 under a condition where a minute gap exists between the spring guide 30 of the spring guide assembly 20 and an inner circumference of the suspension spring 13 and the plurality of ribs 42 contact the inner circumference of the suspension spring 13.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
