PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain efficient data cooperation with a native program.;SOLUTION: When a request for the allocation of a Java(R) object to a heap region is issued, the Java(R) object is classified into a first type of Java(R) object and a second type of Java(R) object by a data type. When there is no vacancy in a first memory region to which the first type of Java(R) object is allocated, first compaction processing is executed to the first memory region, and when there is no vacancy in a second memory region to which the second type of Java(R) object is allocated, second compaction processing different from the first compaction processing is executed to the second memory region. Then, the first type of Java(R) object is allocated to the first memory region where vacancy is generated by the first compaction processing, and the second type of Java(R) object is allocated to the second memory region where vacancy is generated by the second compaction processing.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
