PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte solution, an electrical double layer capacitor using the same, and an electronic apparatus using the electrical double layer capacitor. PSOLUTION: An electrolyte solution includes at least one fluorine-containing compound represented by the following general formula. The electrolyte solution contains the fluorine-containing compound which does not include a structure portion in which one carbon atom and two or more oxygen atoms are directly combined, thereby providing electrochemically stable electrolyte solution and thus preventing COSB2/SBgas generation. Where, R1, R2 each represent a hydrogen atom, a fluorine atom, or an alkyl group of 1-10C in which a cyclic structure may be formed by providing bonding between the carbon atoms contained in R1 and R2.
