PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a high purity ferric chloride aqueous solution containing extremely little impurities which can be used for a water purification plant, or the like.;SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing a high purity ferric chloride aqueous solution, an aqueous solution of ferric chloride containing impurity metals is reacted with an iron material to reduce ferric chloride into ferrous chloride, then concentrated and cooled to precipitate ferrous chloride.
