PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for preventing birds from flying around a power transmission facility which prevents a situation where the first group of starling comes around the power transmission facility by fixing an attachment with a plurality of belt-shaped strips to the overhead earth-wire near the top of a steel tower or the overhead earth-wire near the distal end of an arm metal, and also prevents the subsequent flying of starling, and to provide a method for preventing birds from flying.;SOLUTION: A device for preventing birds from flying around a power transmission facility includes an attachment which is fixed to the overhead earth-wire of a steel tower, and a plurality of belt-shaped strips attached thereto. The attachment is formed of a pair of clamps facing each other at a predetermined interval, and a plurality of rod members arranged between the pair of clamps in order to fix the pair of clamps in connected state, wherein the plurality of belt-shaped strips are fixed to the rod members of the attachment. Furthermore, the belt-shaped strip fixed to the attachment is formed of a member which reflects light. A method for preventing birds from flying around a power transmission facility fixes an attachment, to which a plurality of belt-shaped strips are attached, to the overhead earth-wire near the top of a steel tower, or the overhead earth-wire near the distal end of an arm metal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
