PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a transmission capable of minimizing the number of necessary clutches and brakes, mounting them as easy as possible, and miniaturizing the whole constitution as small as possible by selectively connecting components of two planetary gear devices directly or through a clutch, and selectively braking a part of the components of the planetary gear devices, and further to achieve much gear shift stages of gear ratio preferred as the transmission for the vehicle. PSOLUTION: Two sets of connection of a sun gear, a ring gear and a carrier of one of the planetary gear devices, and a sun gear, a ring gear and a carrier of the other planetary gear device are prepared, so that the various gear ratio can be obtained in accordance with the difference in combination.
