PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a home communication device adaptable to a wireless LAN capable of easily setting the wireless LAN or various kinds of applications on a portable terminal such as a cellular phone, a PDA (personal digital assistant) or a PHS (personal handyphone system). PSOLUTION: A wireless LAN access point 2c includes a wireless LAN interface 201 for establishing wireless LAN connection with a wireless portable terminal provided with a wireless LAN interface, a wired LAN interface 202 for establishing a wired LAN with a router or a modem, a packet relay unit 203 for relaying an IP packet between the wireless LAN interface and the wired LAN interface, and a wireless LAN registering unit 200 in which wireless LAN setting is registered.
