PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile portable terminal which establishes one-segment channel setting to be always viewable, and can suppress the power consumption of the terminal itself to the minimum.;SOLUTION: The mobile portable terminal (1) includes a radio function (a radio unit 12) to communicate with a base station, a one-segment function (radio unit 12) to receive one-segment broadcasting in terrestrial digital broadcasting, and a GPS function GPS (function unit 15) to acquire the position information of the own terminal. Moreover, the mobile portable terminal (1) has a discrimination means (control unit 11) to discriminate whether a base station area to which the own terminal is connected is switched or not, a control means (control unit 11) to start and stop the GPS function (GPS function unit 15) according to the discrimination result, and a means (control unit 11) to switch the channel setting of the one-segment radio station corresponding to the position information of a present position obtained by starting the GPS function (GPS function unit 15).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
