PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a serial communication circuit capable of canceling a malfunctional state even when a delay takes place in an output timing of a serial clock signal supplied externally.;SOLUTION: A data counter 22 counts the number of clock pulses of a serial communication clock signal SCLK outputted from a microcomputer 11 and outputs a reception load signal when the count is coincident with the predetermined number of bits of received data. Further, a timer 25 starts time counting after the received load signal is first outputted and executes periodic time counting thereafter. Further, the data counter 22 outputs a synchronizing signal SYNCO for instructing start of communication to the microcomputer 11 and clears itself to zero on the basis of a time count period of the timer 25 and loads data to be transmitted to the microcomputer 11 to a transmission register 26.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
