PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide "a navigation apparatus and a method for performing guidance of toll road fees" which enables its user to easily confirm a change in road fees to be charged, when a car gets off a toll road once and gets on and runs along the road again, without performing a troublesome operation.;SOLUTION: By computing beforehand the difference between a first road fee to be charged, when the car runs along a toll road existing on a searched guide route straight from an entrance interchange up to an exit interchange, and a second road fee to be charged when the car gets on the toll road from the entrance interchange, gets off the toll road once from an interchange on the way, gets on the toll road again and runs up to the exit interchange, and displaying information on the difference during display of highway course guide for each interchange, the user can easily confirm changes in the road fees to be charged, when the car gets off the toll road once and gets in and runs on the road again, even if the user does not perform operation to set a place for the user to drop in to the user's arbitrary get-off spot from the road.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
