PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boride microparticle for insolation shield which is not spontaneously ignited in the air even when it is atomized.;SOLUTION: The boride microparticle is represented by general formula XBm (wherein X element is at least one kind selected from Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu, Zr, Ba, Sr, and Ca; and m is 4m6.3) and contains at least one kind of additive element selected from Sb, Zn, Mg, Sn, B, Zr, Mo, Al, and Si.
