PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anode for use in electrowinning cobalt, which is used for depositing cobalt on a cathode by electrolyzing an aqueous solution containing positive divalent cobalt ions and can inhibit cobalt oxyhydroxide from depositing onto the anode in the electrolysis, and to provide a method for electrowinning cobalt, which can inhibit the cobalt oxyhydroxide from depositing on the anode in the electrowinning operation.;SOLUTION: The anode for use in electrowinning cobalt is made of an electroconductive substrate having a catalyst layer containing amorphous iridium oxide or amorphous ruthenium oxide formed thereon. The method for electrowinning cobalt includes using the anode for use in electrowinning, which is made of the electroconductive substrate having the catalyst layer containing the amorphous iridium oxide and the amorphous ruthenium oxide formed thereon.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
