PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aluminum chloride solution for spinning capable of assuming a viscosity good in handleability thereof even when the aluminum component is concentrated to a higher concentration than that of a conventional method.;SOLUTION: This aluminum chloride solution for spinning is characterized in that the solution comprises only an aluminum chloride represented by the following general formula Al(OH)nCl3-n (wherein, 2.20≤n≤2.55) and water and the viscosity of a concentrated aluminum chloride solution at 20°C is ≤300 cP (cps) when the aluminum chloride solution is concentrated so as to provide ≥220 g/L aluminum component expressed in terms of aluminum (Al) in the aluminum chloride solution.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
