PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and inexpensive apparatus for cultivating and training tomatoes capable of easily training stems and to provide a method for cultivating the tomatoes. PSOLUTION: The apparatus is equipped with training strings 10 for hanging down from the upper side of the stems M of the tomatoes, making the stems M pass along the strings and training the stems, a rotation rod 20 for obliquely winding the training strings 10 and supporting the training strings and supporting members 30 for rotatably supporting the rotation rod 20 above the stems M.
