PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crosslinking type styrene-(meth)acrylic acid-based copolymer resin excellent in melt-viscoelastic characteristics and suitably used as various kinds of molding materials and to provide a method for producing the resin.;SOLUTION: The crosslinking type styrene-(meth)acrylic acid-based copolymer resin is obtained by melt-mixing a styrene-(meth)acrylic acid-based copolymer consisting mainly of a styrene-based compound unit and a (meth)acrylic acid compound unit with a polyfunctional epoxy compound having a plurality of epoxy groups in one molecule. The copolymer resin forms intermolecular crosslinking and comprises a crosslinking type high molecular weight component.
