PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency when a plurality of members share information by use of RSS. PSOLUTION: In this public information browsing support system, an information collecting/providing system SYS receives a Web page and prints it on a paper sheet. Thereafter, an image on the paper sheet is read. A writing image added to the paper sheet after printing the Web page is acquired by comparing the Web page and the image thereon. A latest version of the Web page is output together with the written image according to a request. A flag showing whether a user brows the latest version of the Web page or not is stored, and whether the latest version is browsed or not is reported based on the flag. An update date of the Web page is received at every predetermined time. The flag of the user is updated to "already read" when outputting the Web page to the user, and all the flags are updated to "unread" when it is distinguished that public information is updated based on the update date shown in received update date information or when the written image is acquired.
