PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shape a grinding wheel with high precision after establishing the contact between the grinding wheel and the truing grinding wheel safely and accurately.;SOLUTION: This grinder is provided with: a truing device 30 having a truing grinding wheel 31 for shaping a grinding wheel 28 and disposed on a table 41; a microscope 40 installed on a spindle head 16 near the grinding wheel 28 for observing a work on a table 14 and the truing grinding wheel 31; a manual operated pulse generator 46 for manually jogging and changing the position of the grinding wheel for observation with the microscope 40; and a means 48 for obtaining coordinates on a control axis of the grinding wheel during observation using the microscope 40.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
