PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure an injected fuel amount comparatively accurately by detecting an injected fuel amount at a fuel injection time from a pressure acting on the fuel during the same fuel injection. SOLUTION: Fuel is fed from a tank 3 to a pump 5 via a filter 4 by another pump 2, and is pumped to a pressure chamber 6 by the pump 5. A pressure control valve 7 and a pressure sensor 8 are additionally provided in the pressure chamber 6, a pressure acting on the fuel in the pressure chamber 6 is measured by the pressure sensor 8. The pressure sensor 8 generates an electric signal corresponding to the measured pressure, and the signal is fed to an electric control device 10. The electric control device 10 controls the pressure control valve 7 so that the pressure acting on the fuel is high and is maintained at a nearly constant output value. Since the fuel amount fuel injected into a combustion chamber depends on the pressure of the pressure chamber 6, the electric control device 10 obtains the fuel injection amount from the fuel pressure detected by the pressure sensor 8.
