Automatic generation method of display unit caption text in caption program production system

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically generate a display unit caption sentence by controlling the suitable insertion of line feed/page turning point to a caption sentence so that the caption sentence can be settled within the caption screen of caption broadcasting and can become a caption sentence easier to read for the user of caption broadcasting. SOLUTION: Frst of all, concerning a caption text sentence, to which morpheme/clause analysis is applied, an automatic caption generating part 35 performs processing of inhibition rules or the like, dividing processing of long and large morphemes, processing for setting priority to all line feed/page turning candidates in a character string and processing of punctuation mark conversion/page number setting. Next, it is investigated whether a target number of lines of unit caption lines to be displayed on the caption screen is even number or add number and in the case of event number, line feed point/page turning candidates are selected corresponding to whether the target number of pages is one or more than two. When the target number of lines is odd number, on the other hand, and when the target number of pages is one, the inputted caption sentence is defined as a result of shifting one page as it is but when the target number of pages is more than two, page shift candidates are selected just out of candidate ranks, with which page turning is enabled for each of candidates, so that sum of priority of respective page candidates can be minimum.
