PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folded dipole antenna achieving an expanded communication distance more even when a reader/writer side has a circularly polarized wave characteristic, and a tag using the folded dipole antenna. PSOLUTION: In the folded dipole antenna, both ends of a first dipole having a power feeding part are connected to both ends of a second dipole part. When a chip for RFID is mounted on the power feeding part, the first and second dipole parts have width for generating linear polarization in a slot mode (vertical direction), and a terminal of the chip is actually connected to an antenna terminal of the power feeding part of the folded dipole antenna to achieve a tag.
