PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a method for producing amino-, imino- and nitrilocarboxylic acids as to raise the yield of the catalyst and increase the frequency of (re)using the catalyst.;SOLUTION: This method for producing amino-, imino- and nitrilocarboxylic acids comprises the following steps: an alkanolamine is oxidatively dehydrogenated in the presence of a Raney-type copper catalyst with silver as cocatalyst in an aqueous alkaline medium; the resulting carboxylic acid salt is separated from the reaction medium and then either purified or precipitated in an acid medium to convert the salt to the corresponding amino acid; the catalyst is separated from the reaction medium, washed with deionized water and then circulated and reused in the 1st step of the identical production or another batch of the production; and the hydrogen released is recovered and collected.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
