PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication device capable of reducing its storage capacity without reducing the accuracy of authentication.;SOLUTION: The authentication device is provided with an extraction means for extracting a plurality of points on the subject of authentication that is characteristic of a living body, from an image resulting from the picking up of an image of the subject of authentication; a coupling means for coupling the points extracted by the extraction means; a storage means for storing information indicative of the coupled state of the points coupled by the coupling means and information indicative of each point as authentication information; and a reconfiguration means for reconfiguring the subject of authentication as one of the pair of subjects of collation according to the authentication information stored in the storage means.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
