PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new high quality-designed Japanese paper having a mixed color and luster of its base layer, fibers and pearly pigment, improving the depth of fibrous feeling and mixed color feeling, and having a deep pearly luster, and also a high quality Japanese paper suitable for uses such as an interior finishing material, an interior article, a packaging material, etc., and having the deep fibrous feeling, mixed color feeling and pearly luster capable of performing a representation which does not exist in conventional Japanese paper.;SOLUTION: This Japanese paper is produced by making a mixed paper of the base layer consisting of pulp, and a designing layer consisting of natural original grass fibers and/or chemical fibers and a pearly pigment is characterized by having 1-300 mm length natural original grass fibers or chemical fibers and 5-100 g/m² unit weight of the pearly pigment.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
