PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To directly and highly accurately execute a degradation diagnosing processing to a flexible cable.;SOLUTION: In the degradation diagnosing method of the flexible cable wherein a fixed part and a movable part to be moved to the fixed part are connected and cyclic and real-time serial communication is performed between the fixed part and the movable part, the presence/absence of the occurrence of a communication error in the communication of each cycle of the serial communication is detected, the number of times of the detected communication error occurrence is integrated and recorded, the recorded integrated number of times of the communication error occurrence is compared with the data of the stipulated number of times, and the degradation of the cable is alarmed when the integrated number of times is the stipulated number of times or larger.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
