Methods and software applications and systems for incorporating benchmarks into business software applications

Methods and systems are provided for processing and storing data objects by means of one or more processes running in a computer system. The computer system may have one or more electronic data structures, including benchmark data, formatted to be readable by a SGML-based language. In one implementation, the methods and systems receive one or more of the electronic data structures by electronic means.
