Sediment erosion and transportation is a complex, multi-factor affected process with sophisticatedmechanisms and uncertainties, therefore can be treated as a gray system. Based on the recent results ofgrey system theory and method, the paper establishes grey dynamic models of watershed sediment yield.Calculated results agree well with observed data. A grey system sotlware package is forther developed onWindows 98 of microcomputer by using Visual Basic 5.0 for the grey system very promising insedimentation research helds. The package provides friendly multiple-window interface and can rapidly extract the results of analysis, calculation and decision. Performance of the software is demonstrated.
