PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further suppressing sticking of burnt on a surface of a heater that ejects ink from a recording head by applying thermal energy to the ink in the recording head. ;SOLUTION: There is disclosed a method for suppressing sticking of burnt on a surface of a heater of a recording head in a printer having the heater for applying thermal energy to ink so as to eject the ink through an orifice. The heater has an uppermost surface protection layer including a metallic and/or a metal-oxide material.
