PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect bacteria belonging to the genus Mycoplasma and the genus Ureaplasma by performing a PCR method using a specific primer, and to identify the species of the bacteria by carrying out a molecular system analysis based on a base sequence in a specific region. ;SOLUTION: This method for detecting the bacteria belonging to the genus Mycoplasma and the genus Ureaplasma, comprising performing a two step PCR using a DNA obtained from a specimen as a template and using a primer set based on the specific region of 16S rRNA gene and then detecting the produced amplified products. The method for identifying the species of the bacteria belonging to the genus Mycoplasma and the genus Ureaplasma, comprising performing a molecular system analysis on the basis of a base sequence in the specific region of the 16S rRNA gene.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
