PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel oil composition which realizes premixed compression-autoignition combustion exhibiting exhaust gas characteristics excellent enough by paying attention to the size of influence of fuel in premixed compression-autoignition combustion.;SOLUTION: The fuel oil composition for a premixed compression-autoignition engine has a sulfur content of 50 mass ppm or lower, an initial boiling point of 20-150°C, a 50% recovered temperature of 60-250°C, an end point of 100-350°C, a kinematic viscosity at 30°C of 0.4-3.0 mm²/s, and a cetane number of 25-55.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
