PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold of a clad layer for simply manufacturing an optical waveguide member, wherein a core layer is provided in the clad layer so as to be three-dimensionally curved to extend, with high precision, and a manufacturing method of the mold.;SOLUTION: The mold 10 is constituted by mutually combining a first molding surface 24 for molding the surface of the first clad layer of the optical waveguide member, the second molding surface 26 locally provided to the first molding surface 24 in a protruded state to mold the groove of the first clad layer, a mold element 30 equipped with a joining surface 28 on the side opposite to the first and second molding surfaces 24 and 26 and a support body 34 equipped with a support surface 32 having a desired curved shape. The mold element 30 is constituted of the metal layer uniformly laminated and formed to the master having a master surface and master grooves, which correspond to the surface and grooves of the first clad layer, by electroforming. The mold element 30 is fixed to the support 34 so that its joining surface 28 is closely brought into contact with the support surface 32 to impart a three-dimensionally curved shape to the first and second molding surfaces 24 and 26.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
