The glass for ultraviolet ray absorption of fluorescent lamp, mass % with, SiO₂₆₀ - 80%, Al₂ O₃₁ - 7%, B₂ O₃₁₀ - 25%, Li₂ O+Na2O+K2O 3 - 15%, CaO+MgO+BaO+SrO+ZnO 0 - 5%, CeO₂ 0.1 - 5%, Fe₂ O₃ 0.005 - 0.1%, SnO+SnO2 0.01 - 5%, ZrO₂ +ZnO contains 0.1 - 10%, abundance ratio of the Ce⁴⁺ ion for all the Ce ions in the glass is 10% or less, it consists of the borosilicate glass where average linear expansion coefficient of the range of 0 - the 300 which is decided in JIS R3102 is 36 - the 57 10 7/ .
