The present invention relates to a synergistic combination for preventing the onset and/or progression of dementia or Alzheimer's disease in individuals at increased risk thereof for example because of family history, genetic factors, and/or environmental factors. This combination comprises synergistically effective amounts of vitamin C, vitamin E, DHA and at least one NSAID such as ibuprofen.
