The novel strain of Pseudomonas veronii, deposited as lyophilisate in the Collection of the Microorganism under the designation CCM7694, is used to protect Brassica napus against pathogenic fungi in such a way that the recommended application rate is 4 l / ha, in repeated applications in the rotary pass cycle is the dose can be reduced to 1 l / ha. The total number of microorganisms is at least 10.sup.9. The autumn application is suitable as from 5 September to 20 October. In the autumn, the application is applied to the developmental younger plants grown from pickled seed, where the biological agent gets directly into the soil and to the roots of individual rape plants. Spring application can be carried out in the early spring of winter rape, when the soil is thawed, physiological processes are activated and there is no need to take into account the condition of higher temperatures, as in the application of chemical fungicides.
