The invention relates to providing measuring systems for metering the amount of milk at milking units of livestock farms. The present invention is aimed at simplification the system and enhancement reliability thereof under real conditions of livestock farms. The system is characterized in that the operation time of a pump is measured and the amount of pumped milk is metered according to the pump operation time and the pump capacity and in that the system sensors of the upper and the lower levels are mounted at a discharge pipe and are embodied as sensors of electrical conduction, a electrical conduction gage and a switch are added to the system, the sensor is connected to a control unit via the switch and the switch is controlled by the electrical conduction gage. There are other differences from the prototype. The method and the system are simple, reliable in operation and easely servisable. Unlike to analogs and the prototype, where said discharge pipe with sensors is located inside an air-separating capacity.
