TOPICAL APPLICATION OF URSOLIC ACID FOR THE PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF DENTAL CARIES, THE PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF PERIODONTITIS AND THE THERAPY OF ORAL CANDIDIASIS.

The topical application of ursolic acid in oral cavity under the adequate pharmaceutical form (e. g. suspension for mouth washes) prevents the appearance of dental caries and treats the incipient dental caries (incipient decay). Furthermore, it prevents the appearance of periodontitis, whilst in case that there is already damage on periodontal tissues, it accomplishes the intermission of the damage at the point that has reached and suspends its progression. Moreover, with the topical application of ursolic acid in oral cavity is accomplished the confrontation of symptoms and clinical signs until the complete therapy of oral cadidiasis. Through the topical application of ursolic acid in the above cases side effects are not observed neither is there necessity to co-administrate other drugs.
