: The present invention proposes a system, method and apparatus for high-speed modulo operation. By utilizing one or more alternate bases to perform the computations with and one or more transformations to represent the inputs amongst the various bases, the present invention provides a robust and efficient design for performing this ubiquitous arithmetic operation. By the use of two alternative embodiments, the parallel modulus method and the recursive modulus method, the present invention further reduces the design space and leads to power-efficient implementations.
